The essays collected in this volume are dedicated to Professor Krystyna Zamiara to honour the 40th anniversary of her academic activities and scientific research. Professor Krystyna Zamiara is a distinguished philosopher of science and theoretician of culture, a member of many scientific societies and associations. She has been affiliated to the Institute of Cultural Studies at Adam Mickiewicz University for 26 years. She had worked for previous 14 years in the Institute of Philosophy. The composition of the volume reflects the scientific biography of Professor Zamiara. First part contains works of psychologists (her M. A. was in Psychology), second part is dedicated to philosophy and methodology of science (her Ph. D. and habilitation dissertation belonged to this field), and final part is composed of papers which belong to the cultural studies and reflect her yet another interest and research conducted in the Institute of Cultural Studies. The Festschrift also contains the chapter describing her life and work and a complete list of her scientific publications.
